There are currently...NO LEGISLATIVE ALERTS
In the event of a Legislative Alert, you would have been directed to contact certain elected representatives, by telephone or e-mail, and possibly to travel to Richmond to testify for or against the bill.
The goal is to provide members with the consequences of the proposed legislation and to supply them with the key talking points. Reference is also made to the bill number so members can review the actual proposal.
A Legislative Alert, sent by fax or e-mail to all CAI members in the Commonwealth, in intended to rally the community association industry. It is most effective when associations or companies are able to immediately contact members of the General Assembly particularly when a working relationship has already been established before the Legislative Session. See House Members and Senate Members for a complete list of the rooster and e-mail and telephone numbers.
